As I reflect upon this year I think there is one thing that I definitely have learned, personally and professionally. Life will happen when you decide it does. You won't wake up five years from now and automatically be in the position you dreamed of just because you are getting older and that's whats supposed to happen. You must make that happen, and it starts now. If we always waited for everything to fall into place, everything to be just perfect, we would never make any progress.
As we have been building this business I am seeing a constant theme where people do want to wait for the stars to align to make a decision ( Hey, I've been one of the people :) Life isn't going to slow down, stop, or pause, so we have got to learn how to make decisions while on the go.
Getting married costs money and whenever you spend money you could be making a mistake. For example if we had waited another 30 years we could have really had that dream wedding. When we started our family over a year ago, maybe we should have waited so that we could give the kids everything and anything they wanted. To go on all the trips, vacations, toys etc..If we waited 20 years to get a house we truly could have built our perfect home.
There is a poem that I just laughed at that illustrates this point so well and especially as we are in the wedding industry, it fit just perfect.
"The bride, white of hair, is stooped over her cane,
Her footsteps-uncertain-need guiding.
While down the opposite church aisle with a wan,
toothless smile
The bridegroom in wheelchair comes riding.
Now who is this elderly couple, thus wed?
Well, you'll find when you've closely explored it
That here is that rare, most conservative pair
Who waited, "till they could afford it!"

Thayne + Emily // Thank You!
We recently received this nice note from Emily's parents regarding their video. We love when we get feedback from clients. Lets us know we are doing our job well.
"Their professionalism is unmatched, and their final product is much more than we could have ever hoped for! Our final video was so much more than just a 'memory of the day". The family was caught in funny and wonderful moments and the entire experience was captured in such a touching way that we continue to watch it over and over! We have worked with many videographers professionally and personally on projects- and can say without hesitation that neither of us have ever had such a personally and creatively positive experience. The final production was so professional and so joyous- so reasonably priced for what we received and Jared and Ashley were a complete pleasure to work with." - Dr. and Mrs. Michael H. Bourne
Here is one of our favorite videos from their production.

After Effects
Hey everyone. Since this world is increasing in technology faster than we can believe, I decided that with all the tools that I have at my disposal that I would take more advantage of them than I have in the past. Which means lots and lots of hours practicing (usually late at night, because that's the only time little Naomi will let me). The program of choice that I'm learning is Adobe After Effects, which is amazing, once you know what you're doing. In the meantime, it's a lot of mistakes, tutorials, long hours, and more hours, and "Why is this not working?" look.
This video took longer for me to complete than I care to mention. Nonetheless, I completed it, and learned a lot in the process. So here's to learning new things even if it takes us longer than it should.
