After Effects

Hey everyone. Since this world is increasing in technology faster than we can believe, I decided that with all the tools that I have at my disposal that I would take more advantage of them than I have in the past. Which means lots and lots of hours practicing (usually late at night, because that's the only time little Naomi will let me). The program of choice that I'm learning is Adobe After Effects, which is amazing, once you know what you're doing. In the meantime, it's a lot of mistakes, tutorials, long hours, and more hours, and "Why is this not working?" look.

This video took longer for me to complete than I care to mention. Nonetheless, I completed it, and learned a lot in the process. So here's to learning new things even if it takes us longer than it should.

Bridal Extravaganza

Sven + Patti // Teaser

Brian + Brenda

Just got done last week wrapping up this video from August. Brian + Brenda are such a happy and energetic couple and their chemistry was easily captured on film. lessons from my one year old

As Ashley and I were talking this afternoon, our little girl Naomi was walking and stumbling around gabbing and gabbing about who knows what, crawling up the stairs and gabbing some more. As Ashley and I were trying to finish our conversation regarding some actual important things regarding our life, Naomi's voice was getting louder and more abrupt as if she were leading a war cry. I kept going over to her and asking what she wanted, she would look at me in silence for a few seconds then say something at the top of her lungs, as if now she were getting her point across more clearly to me now.
As I sit here writing this I can't help but think how much she was actually contributing to the conversation that Ashley and I were "trying" to have. As she seemed to already obtain the skills that I am trying to get better at. So a little lesson I learned from my one year old daughter today was to get people's attention, make sure they are listening, and then tell them what you want. Be decisive in your decision making. Pull the trigger and make it happen. So whatever you are currently involved with in your lives, make some goals, be decisive, follow through, and make yourself accountable for those decisions.
