As we gravitated in and out of different career paths after finishing college, we knew we were wanting a change in direction. Jared and I picked up the book 48 days to the work you love by Dan Miller, and the principles in the book helped us take the steps to redirect our career paths. In his book he says "you should always build your life bouquet from those flowers that are within reach." He also talks about your business and career goals being a reflection of three things: your skills and abilities, personality traits, and your values, dreams and passions.
After going through this process we finally made the decision to grow our own business. I feel very comfortable in marketing and sales. I love the details of operating, managing schedules and designing everything from websites to business cards. I also run a design and stationery business with my sister in-law Emily, Fourthday Design. Jared’s strengths are in shooting and producing. He has great talent, an artistic eye and a discipline for learning. It makes for a great pairing when you combine it with our love for people.
I guess you could say that Oneilove Media is our baby. Along with our daughter Naomi and black lab, Ace. It has been an adventure so far and we are excited to see what we can learn and create and where it will take us. We love the process of telling your story through film making.
